The Alvin Rotary Club hosted the 34th annual
Frontier Day Celebration on Saturday, April 24th, 2010.
The full day of events featured the
Frontier Day Parade through the old downtown area
of Alvin. Special activities are held throughout the day, including the famous
"shoot-out" performances
by the Alvin Rotary Club Gunfighters.
Nearby midway rides, food concessions, and carnival activities run concurrent
with the Arts, Crafts & Collectibles Festival.
and the Antique and Collectible Car and Bike Show.
The Alvin Rotary Club BBQ Cookoff was part of the
Frontier Day celebration.
Frontier Day brings many people to downtown Alvin and most
return year after year to enjoy the carnival atmosphere and full day of activities.
Proceeds support scholarships and other charitable activities in the Alvin area.
